Conditions Conducive to Mold Growth
For mold to grow within the home and other structures, specific conditions must be met. These conditions are usually 1) dark, 2) warm and 3) moist. Mold will usually grow on walls and/or ceilings made of drywall, wood, or similar types of surfaces. Mold prefers these spots because these surfaces can easily retain moisture. Keep in mind that mold can form within 24 hours if all of these conditions are present.
